There are several reasons why your pension benefits might be incorrect. To help you resolve this, we've put together a list of possible reasons below π
β
Joining and end dates
You should first check that the date of joining and pension end date are entered correctly, depending on whether the employee is active on the scheme. To check this, follow the steps below.
Click CorePension then click Maintenance.
Click Employee Details then click Pension Details.
If the dates are correct, move on to the next section.
Employee's appointments
Next, you should check the employee appointments. To do this, follow the steps below.
Click CorePension then click Maintenance.
Click Employee Details then click Employee Appointments.
Check all fields are correct.
Check that the appointment is set as pensionable or non-pensionable, as required.
If the appointment details are correct, move on to the next section.
Retirement date override
Lastly, you should check if the retirement date has been overridden, and check that the retirement date doesn't conflict with other dates set up.
For example, if an employee has a retirement date input for their 60th birthday, if they generate a statement for an age past 60, the benefits will result as 0.
