Generate a benefit statement in the Pension Benefit Calculator

Choose the benefit statement you need and find out when each type is payable.

You can use the Pension Benefit Calculator to see an estimate of your benefits for different retirement situations. You'll need to open your online pension record first. Follow these steps to generate a benefit statement.

  1. From the top right corner of your screen, select Pension Benefit Calculator.

  2. Click Agree to the pop-up Disclaimer Notice.

  3. Select the relevant Benefit Statement, then click Generate Benefits.


Choose the right benefit statement

These are the Benefit Statements you can select, and when each one is payable:

Benefit Statement

When it's payable

Early Retirement

From age 60 to 65 for members who started public sector employment in a pensionable capacity before 1 April 2004.

Actuarially Reduced Early Retirement

From age 50 to 59, or from age 55 to 64 for members who started public sector employment in a pensionable capacity after 1 April 2004.

Normal Retirement

From age 65.

Deferred Benefits

Leavers from UCD with two years' service are entitled to the benefits on reaching retirement age.

Death in Service Benefits

In the event of death, to the spouse, civil partner, children, or legal representatives.
