If you've accidentally set an employee up under the incorrect single pension scheme (SPS) and they've made contributions towards it, to correct this, you need to move them to the correct scheme and make single scheme adjustments to transfer the pension values.
β
To do this, follow the steps below in back office.
Click CorePension then click Maintenance.
Click Single Scheme Adjustment Centre.
Click Adjustments tab then fill in the following fields:
Employee Reference.
Payroll Period: The date the employee should have started on SPS.
Pay Code.
Pensionable Pay.
Pensionable Remuneration: CSP to 0.
Pay Multiplier: Check is set to 1.
Click the save
icon then click the exit
icon.
Regenerate the employee pension benefits.
If the employee has been on the incorrect SPS for multiple tax years, to ensure the contributions are reflected in their pension benefits, you need to repeat this process for the first period of each year that they were on the incorrect SPS.
