Ill health years are excluded from the benefit calculation

The accreditation of ill health added years isn't included in the calculation of benefits on benefit statement.

If the accreditation for ill health added years doesn't show the calculation of benefits for the following categories, this is because the Override FTE is set to zero:

  • Death in Service Benefits as of the Calculation Date (Lump Sum).

  • Ill Health Benefits as of the Calculation Date (Lump Sum).

  • Ill Health Benefits as of the Calculation Date (Pension).

To resolve this, you need to set the Override FTE to 1 or another equivalent value. To do this, follow the steps below in back office.

  1. Click CorePension then click Maintenance.

  2. Click Employee Appointments.

  3. In the Employee Ref. field , enter the employee number.

  4. Press Enter on your keyboard.

  5. Highlight the relevant Appointment ID.

  6. In the FTE field, enter the relevant FTE value.

  7. To save this, click the save Save icon.
