If this error message appears when you attempt to generate the pension benefit, this is because the employee has been marked as exempt from calculation on the scheme you're generating benefits for.
To resolve this issue, you need to either unmark the employee as exempt or unmark the scheme as exempt in Back Office.
Employee
To unmark the employee as exempt, follow the steps below.
Click CorePension then click Maintenance.
Click Employee Pension Details.
Click Maintain Employee Pension Details.
Clear the Exempt from Calculation check box.
Scheme
Alternatively, if the scheme is marked as exempt, unmark it. To do this, follow the steps below.
Click CorePension then click Reference.
Click Pension Schemes.
In the Pension Code field, enter the pension scheme number.
To view the third page, click the right
icon.Untick Exempt from Calculation.
